Members of this club will be required to do a certain amount of reading of literature that pushes their comprehension to new and higher levels. Students will be assigned a certain amount of reading in book(s) which are being read by the whole club and a portion of our meeting time will be devoted to discussions about these pieces of literature. |
Members of this club will be required to do a certain number of writing projects which may include anything from poetry, to essays, to short stories, and beyond. Some of these projects will be for submission for publication and/or competition. Each project done by the members of this club will need to be an example of that member’s best writing. |
Members of this club will be required to participate in all performance pieces in which the club partakes. These performance pieces will possibly include, but are not limited to: portions of or whole plays, short pieces created by members of the club, or possibly versions of literature that have been adapted for performance. Members will also be required to read aloud and make presentations to the club. |

Current Reading Projects
|
Current Writing Projects Members of the club are going to begin the year by signing up for the online version of Teen Ink which is a magazine/website that publishes writings authored by teens. After signing up, they are encouraged to read through some of the highly, and moderately, rated work so as to become familiar with it. Members of the club will then begin writing and submitting work via the website. If the works are well received then there is a good chance that they will be published in the printed magazine.

Current Performance Projects Working with the new Tier System, 3FW will be looking into starting and performing in poetry readings that can be attended by Tier 1 students only. This will hopefully create better feelings for poetry and will also work toward bettering the stage presence and performance ability of 3FW members. |
